Tori Spelling is convinced her fifth pregnancy is a miracle.
The former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress and her husband Dean McDermott announced the news that she is expecting on Wednesday(05Oct16).
Tori and Dean are already parents to Liam, nine, Stella, eight, Hattie and Finn, both four, while Dean also has an 18-year-old son, Jack, from his previous marriage to actress Mary Jo Eustace.
And Tori, 43, reveals she didn’t anticipate having another child after suffering from placenta previa, a serious condition in which the placenta blocks the cervix, during her pregnancy with son Finn.
“I thought if we had another baby, my life could potentially be in danger,” she told People magazine. “Dean and I created four beautiful children together and the thought of them not having a mother (if something went wrong again) was not something we were okay with.”
Accordingly, when Tori discovered she was pregnant again, she wanted to make sure everything she endured, including a three-month hospital stay, could be avoided again. And thankfully the star reveals does not have placenta previa with this pregnancy.
“Our doctor said this is a miracle baby. After what she experienced and all the work we’ve done together and individually, I’m more doting now. I already feel more present,” added Dean.
While Tori shared that while she believes her new child is meant to be, she and Dean, 49, will have to make some changes to their lifestyle to accommodate such a large brood.
“As far as cars and SUVs, we’re maxed out! And we’ll definitely be house hunting. We need another room,” she smiled. “They’re already doubled up.”
Tori and Dean, who have appeared in a series of reality shows about their life, wed in 2006 but their marriage was rocked in 2013 when Dean was accused of cheating on her with Emily Goodhand.
After working on their marriage, Dean pledged his love to Tori once again by proposing to her in Paris in April (16) surrounded by their children.
